- Tiered Storage: Not all SAN space is created equal. Tenzing offers two tiers of SAN storage to provide the best possible price to performance solution:
- Tier 1: Higher performance, higher cost FC storage for I/O critical applications such as databases;
- Tier 2: Lower performance, lower cost SATA storage for when I/O speeds are not critical, such as with backups.
- Tiered Connectivity: Tenzing supports multiple SAN connectivity options to best meet the business requirements of our clients:
- Tier 1: Fiber Channel is a multi-gigabit-speed network technology used for high performance storage area networks. Fibre Channel is the ultimate in performance and reliability and is the standard in the enterprise storage space.
