Role Description:

The Inside Sales Representative will be part of Tenzing's Sales team and will be responsible for providing support to this team in researching, qualifying and engaging potential customers. The incumbent is accountable for identifying and prospecting opportunities, proactive outbound selling to current and new accounts to achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  1. Provide key business development support with research and follow up on all new leads
  2. Make daily outbound calls to warm leads and dormant accounts to cultivate relationships that ensure long-term customer retention and future sales opportunities
  3. Contact potential client and complete qualification process
  • For suitable opportunities, book potential client into introductory meeting with appropriate Territory Manager
  1. Follow up with prospects after they have signed up for webinars and other interactions with Tenzing to better qualify them and get them more engaged with the process
  2. Complete background information and key contact information on leads that enter the system incomplete
  3. Assist existing clients with simple upgrades and add-on services. Manage the administrative process for upgrading simple accounts
  4. Support Business Development Managers with preparation, research and proposal deliveries to prospects
  5. Assistance, as required, with drafting initial RFP responses
  6. Act as CRM application expert and assist with CRM management, including the creation of new views, workflows and reports within the CRM solution
  7. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Post graduate degree in Business, or in a Sales and Marketing program
  2. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of previous experience with phone based sales, where consultative selling was part of the job. Strong capacity for generating revenue and overachieving budget expectations
  3. Previous experience working with technical solutions and service essential. Demonstrated experience interacting with technical people, both fielding and responding to questions
  4. Understanding of and some experience with CRM solutions
  5. Excellent research skills with an ability to ask the right questions to quickly identify potential customer requirements
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  7. Ability to establish and build relationships quickly with others
  8. Strong time management, followup and organizational skills
  9. Solid understanding of sales cycle, with skills in prospecting, cold calling, objection handling, probing and closing skills
  10. Comfortable in a technology environment with a natural desire to stay informed in the market

Career Progression:

Individuals that display strong sales capabilities will be provided opportunities to acquire customers themselves, with the potential to progress to a Business Development Manager role.
