Tenzing delivers stability and performance as Commerce customers outperform expectations during Cyber Weekend 2014
TORONTO – December 18, 2014
Tenzing customers saw their busiest Cyber Week to date with record traffic
Tenzing Managed IT services announced today that its retail clients saw a growth in Cyber Monday traffic of up to 80% compared to 2013, which was much higher than the US industry average of 11.8% reported by Monetate. Tenzing clients were well prepared to handle the additional traffic thanks to Tenzing’s rigorous holiday preparation program.
“We saw record levels of traffic on our retail clients’ sites from web and mobile,” said Tenzing president Raj Atwal. “Our pre-holiday planning expertise, expert staff, scalable infrastructure and advanced managed services for merchants prepared our clients for the additional traffic. So far, we are thrilled with early feedback indicating significant growth in conversions and revenues for our clients.”
Tenzing manages infrastructure, performance, and security for retailers on enterprise ecommerce platforms like Magento, Oracle Commerce, Hybris, and IBM Websphere. Tenzing Technical Account teams start working with clients in June to prepare for the holiday season. Tenzing’s holiday preparation program includes capacity reviews, load and performance testing, emergency response planning, security reviews and risk assessments. Built on five years of experience supporting retailers, the program is designed to ensure retailers are ready for their peak season.
“We have had incredible success to start off this holiday season, and Tenzing is part of that story,” said Martin-Alexandre Beaulieu, Director of Development and Business Methods at La Vie en Rose. “They were an integral part of our readiness team that ensured our servers could handle the stress of Cyber Monday, and that preparation helped us achieve 60% growth over last year.”
One of the key contributors to success in 2014 has been Tenzing’s holiday planning program. “We are thrilled with the growth and success our clients are experiencing,” said Elizabeth Scott, Vice President of Service Delivery at Tenzing. “Thanks to careful planning and preparation, their sites were able to handle the extra volume without impacting performance.”
